Barnen have the right to their future – and it doesn't have to be about climate change and war. Starting June 10, SVT's "Sommarlov" will use both humor and imagination to explore the future.
What inventions will the future hold? And what about robots and space? With food, sports, and clothes?
The six program leaders want to know everything. And children who are watching are as always welcome to fill in with questions throughout the summer.
It was the program leaders themselves who came up with the idea. They themselves grew up in a time when the future was something hopeful and exciting, notes Adrian Alebo Andersson.
"Sommarlov" will change that. The program leaders want to load up on positivity towards the future, but it's not about ignoring climate change or the wars raging in the world.
The character Chief has such future anxiety that he locks himself in a safe room, but now it's up to the others to cheer him up.
The program leaders themselves don't have all the answers, but take help from experts and above all the editorial team of "Lilla Aktuellt", who are called in to explain.
In one corner, there's also the ghost Lazlo – and as usual, the mischievous Summer Shadow. A range of artists will add a golden touch to the summer, for example Arwin, Cazzi Opeia and Smash Into Pieces.
The program leaders themselves want the program to be a safe haven, which all children know will come back every summer.
