If I were to predict a development, it would be about taking steps to make it increasingly difficult, and ideally impossible, to evade in the way that is happening today, says the Minister of Justice to the channel.

The police fail to deliver about every fourth report of a crime, which amounts to approximately 13,000 each year, according to P4 Halland.

The fact that suspected criminals evade can, among other things, lead to crimes becoming statute-barred.

In an investigation by P4 Halland, the channel's journalists, in just a few hours, found individuals that the police and private process servers cannot find.

The Ministry of Justice has not taken up the issue again, but within the government, the possibility of digital official mail is being prepared, which is a first step on the way.

Exactly how it should be designed and done in a way that is effective and legally secure, we will have to come back to.

The new service of process law came into force in 2011 and was adjusted as recently as 2023.
