On Monday, the American space agency NASA's spacecraft Europa Clipper was launched from Florida in the USA, with the destination being Jupiter's frozen moon. The spacecraft is expected to reach the moon named Europa in five and a half years.
On site, they will investigate whether the moon has an ocean under its icy surface.
With Europa Clipper, we are not looking for life on Europa, but we are trying to see if this ocean world is habitable, and that means we are looking for water, said NASA official Gina DiBraccio before the launch.
"We are looking for energy sources, and we are examining the chemistry there, so that we can understand what habitable environments can exist in our entire universe", she added.
The spacecraft is the heaviest NASA has built for a similar mission.
