Several shots have been fired at a door in an apartment building in Valsta, north of Stockholm, during the night towards Wednesday. No one was injured and the apartment was empty at the time of the incident.
We have held several interviews and are seeking further individuals who may have made observations, says police spokesperson Ola Österling on Wednesday morning.
The shooting is believed to have occurred shortly after vandalism on another apartment door, according to Österling.
We believe they may be connected. Therefore, we have good hopes that there are people who may have made observations. If they didn't do so during the shooting, they may have done so during the vandalism, says Österling.
The police received an alarm about the shooting at around 2 am on Wednesday.
A criminal investigation into gross unlawful threats and gross weapons offenses has been initiated. No one has been detained.
