An apartment door has been shot at in Årsta in southern Stockholm.

Shortly after 8 pm, we received several calls about a shooting in a stairwell in Årsta. We were able to confirm on site that the reports were correct and we found bullet holes in an apartment door, says Ola Österling, press spokesperson for the police.

Several people were in the apartment during the shooting, but they escaped without injury. The case is classified as attempted murder and aggravated weapons offense.

No one has been arrested for involvement in the shooting. The police have held interviews with several witnesses during the Sunday evening.

In parallel with this, an intensive hunt for perpetrators is underway, with a large number of police resources. We have received good witness information, says Ola Österling.

A technical investigation is being conducted at the scene.

We are conducting an inventory of the residents. What we have found is what is leading us in the hunt for the perpetrators, so we will not comment further.
