The ship with explosive cargo that has been held in the port of Uddevalla for almost a week has been given the green light to continue its journey after an inspection by the Transport Agency, reports P4 Väst.
The ship was supposed to have left Uddevalla and headed for Nouakchott in Mauritania on Tuesday, but was stopped after a number of deficiencies were discovered on board.
On board, there is ammonium nitrate and the deficiencies discovered on board included, among other things, fire protection.
But now the ship is allowed to leave Uddevalla at three o'clock in the night to Tuesday, according to the radio channel.
Ammonium nitrate was behind the massive explosion in Beirut's port in Lebanon in 2020.
