This year's Carin Malmlöf-Forssling composer prize of 100,000 kronor goes to composer Lisa Streich "for an idiosyncratic and consistent artistic creation". This is announced by the Royal Academy of Music in a press release.
The prize will be awarded on Alfvén Day on 6 July at Alfvéngården in Tibble, Leksand. On that occasion, three students at the Music Conservatory in Falun will also receive a Carin Malmlöf-Forssling scholarship of 10,000 kronor each.
Lisa Streich is a composer and organist, and has received commissions from institutions such as the Lucerne Festival, Berlin Philharmonic and Radio Choir. In November 2022, she was celebrated at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival.
