Double Olympic champion Beatrice Chebet has set a new world record on 5,000 meters, and did it under the dream limit of 14 minutes, reports BBC.
In a race in Barcelona, she crossed the finish line in 13 minutes and 54 seconds.
I'm super happy, everything went according to plan. I felt I could run under 14 minutes, and I succeeded, she says according to the British media company, and adds that the goal for the year is double World Championship gold in Tokyo.
The 24-year-old Kenyan won Olympic gold last year in Paris on both 5,000 and 10,000 meters.
