Sensitive information may have leaked from Gothenburg

A large amount of data about sick people, children, and individuals with disabilities may have leaked from one of Gothenburg City's IT systems, reports SVT News West.

Among other things, personal identification numbers, addresses, and assistance needs have been accessible.

The City Environment Administration has sent out approximately 37,000 letters to inform individuals who may have been affected.

We discovered the deficiency through an internal control before Christmas, and the deficiency has now been rectified, says Alexandra Wattwil, press officer at the administration, to SVT.
