Romania has decided to send the coveted air defence system Patriot to Ukraine to help the country defend itself against Russia in the ongoing war. This is stated by the country's national security council in a statement on Thursday.
Patriot is an American air defence system used for defensive purposes against aerial attacks. The missiles have a range of 70 kilometres and can reach an altitude of over 23 kilometres.
