In the week, Rod Stewart was supposed to perform his 200th residency show in Las Vegas, but cancelled with short notice due to health problems. On Friday, the 79-year-old announced that he could not perform a show the same day in Nevada, and a concert planned to take place in Lincoln on Saturday was also postponed, writes The Mirror.
According to Rod Stewart's team, the artist is recovering after being affected by covid-19 during the summer.
The concerts in Nevada and Lincoln have been rescheduled for August 18 and 20, respectively.
After the residency show at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas was cancelled, the artist apologized to his fans.
"Most people can work with a sore throat, but apparently not me. I'm completely destroyed. I've been looking forward to this concert for so long. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused", the artist wrote on Instagram on Wednesday.
However, he added hopefully:
"Luckily, I'll be back in 2025 and hope to see you all there".
