This rhetoric against President Trump, the narrative that he will become a new dictator... it must stop", says Mike Waltz, Republican member of the House of Representatives, to Fox News.

His colleague Anna Paulina Luna also turned against her political opponents when she accused the "radical left" of using irresponsible rhetoric in an X-post.

Another who expressed himself in strong terms is the conservative activist and YouTuber Charlie Kirk.

"They will continue to try to kill Trump. This is just the beginning", he writes in an X-post.

The Republicans' group leader Steve Scalise focuses on the personal protection around Trump and points out that Trump was subjected to another assassination attempt as recently as July.

"There have been TWO attempts to take Trump's life. Secret Service must increase their protection level regarding him to the HIGHEST possible capacity", reads Scalise's X-post on the topic.
