Mexico's fleet has made a record-large seizure of narcotics off the country's west coast: over 8.3 tons.
"It is the largest amount of narcotics that has been seized in a maritime operation in the fleet's history", they state in a statement.
23 people have been arrested in connection with the raid. The drugs were, according to the fleet, distributed in six smaller boats, including a submarine.
It is unclear what kind of narcotics are involved. Mexico has for decades been a hub for drug smuggling to the USA from South- and Central America.
