The operation was initiated by German police who had noticed the streaming service, which was said to consist of up to 60,000 films of children being subjected to sexual abuse.
The service was said to have had over 1,000 users worldwide, including 16 in Sweden and 9 in Stockholm, who are suspected of having purchased access with cryptocurrency.
In recent weeks, the police have struck against addresses in Stockholm and seized computers, mobile phones, and hard drives.
"It requires thorough and meticulous work to go through all the material. The main focus is to identify new victims and interrupt ongoing abuse", says Victoria Österberg at the police's group for internet-related sexual abuse against children, ISÖB, to the police website.
