A plane carrying Malawi's Vice President Saulos Chilima and nine others on board has vanished.
The military aircraft disappeared from radar after leaving the country's capital Lilongwe en route to the northern parts of the country on Monday morning.
"All attempts by aviation authorities to contact the plane since it took off have so far been unsuccessful", according to a statement from the East African country's government.
A search operation has been launched, writes BBC.
