Dream Orchestra was founded in 2016 in Gothenburg as an orchestra for unaccompanied youth. Since then, the orchestra has grown to three and gathers every week over 300 children and youth who are taught music in orchestra.
The orchestra is now receiving a donation of 4 million kronor from the Stenastiftelsen to further develop the operation.
Dream Orchestra was founded by conductor Ron Davis Alvarez, who in 2015 came to Sweden from Venezuela, where he had run a similar operation. On National Day, Dream Orchestra will perform together with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
