Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orbán wants to create a new EU-critical far-right group in the EU Parliament, together with Austria's right-wing populist Freedom Party (FPÖ) and the Czech former Prime Minister Andrej Babis' party ANO.
We take on the responsibility of launching this new platform and new faction. I want to make it clear that this is our goal, says Orbán at a joint press conference with FPÖ's party leader Herbert Kickl and Andrej Babis, where they are seeking support from more parties.
To be able to start a group, they need at least 23 members from at least seven countries.
