Government representatives in the Opec-plus alliance – which includes Saudi Arabia, Russia, and other major oil-producing countries – have initiated a discussion about postponing a planned increase in oil production, reports news agency Bloomberg, citing anonymous participants in the discussions.

Currently, there is a plan for increased production in October, but it is now being questioned as crude oil prices have fallen sharply on the global market.

The global market price of crude oil recovered somewhat after reports of a postponed production increase began to circulate.
