Upward trend on the Stockholm Stock Exchange
The Stockholm stock exchange continued to rise throughout Monday and at the close, the broad OMXS index landed 0. 5 percent up.
Oil production is being cut back – again
The eight countries within the Opec+ alliance have decided to extend the voluntary reduction of oil production until the end of December. This is the second time the countries – Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Oman – are extending the reduction of production.

OPEC is once again lowering its forecast for oil demand in the world this year. The oil price is falling.
OPEC and Russia may postpone oil production increase
Government representatives in the Opec-plus alliance – which includes Saudi Arabia, Russia, and other major oil-producing countries – have initiated a discussion about postponing a planned increase in oil production, reports news agency Bloomberg, citing anonymous participants in the discussions. Currently, there is a plan for increased production in October, but it is now being questioned as crude oil prices have fallen sharply on the global market.
OPEC lowers its oil forecast
Opec is lowering its forecast for oil demand this year and next year, the oil cartel announces in its monthly report. Opec is lowering the demand for 2024 by 135,000 barrels per day.
