Housing construction increases for the ninth month in a row, albeit from very low levels, according to Byggfakta's monthly measurements.
The so-called housing start indicator is 20.5 per cent higher than a year ago.
"It is becoming increasingly clear that housing starts are recovering, particularly in Stockholm. However, they are still half of what they were in the spring of 2021 and well below the average levels of the past 8-9 years," writes Byggfakta in a press release.
For construction outside the housing sector, starts remain at high levels, boosted by several large industrial projects, although they have slowed down recently. Overall, the construction start indicator is 5.8 per cent higher now than a year ago.
