Toronto's star player William Nylander delivered a solo raid when Montreal was defeated 4-1 in tonight's NHL.
It was in numerical superiority in the second period that the Swede took the puck from the defensive zone into the offensive zone, glided past Montreal's four defenders and finished with a quick shot into the net behind goalkeeper Samuel Montembeault.
The solo raid, also called "coast to coast" in American hockey language, gave Toronto a 2-0 lead. Nylander was also credited with an assist and was named by the league as one of the three best players of the match.
