The magazine is described as a cross between The Atlantic and The Economist, and in addition to being sold in newsstands and bookstores, it will also be distributed to Handelsbanken's customers.

The first issue of the magazine, whose name has not yet been communicated, will be released in February 2025, according to Volante in a press release.

"The purpose of EFN is to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge, primarily in the field of economics. Being able to make smart thinkers and good writers accessible in Swedish is both necessary, important, and enjoyable," says Magnus Nytell, who is the publisher of the publication and responsible for EFN's collaboration with Volante.

The author and journalist Johan Anderberg is the editor of the publication.

EFN is a subsidiary of Handelsbanken and has made headlines in Media Sweden for recruiting a number of well-known names in connection with a major expansion, including Anders Kraft, Anna Hedenmo, Katrine Kielos, and Fredrik Strage.
