Norway is donating over a billion Norwegian kroner to Ukraine. The money is to be used to secure the country's power supply following Russia's attacks on power stations.
There is a strong focus on supporting Ukraine's military defence efforts, but an important part of the Nansen package is to support civilians, says Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
£120 million is to be used to repair the power supply in the Kharkiv region, which has been heavily targeted by Russian attacks in recent times. Seven hospitals will be prioritised and solar panels will be installed to guarantee power to the departments.
Access to power can be the difference between life and death, says Støre.
