Northvolt's factory in Canada may be delayed by over a year, reports Ekot which refers to Canadian information.
The plan was to start production in 2026, but Pierre Fitzgibbon, Minister of Economy in Québec, says in an interview with Canadian radio that he believes there may be a delay of 12 to 18 months for the large factory being built south of Montréal.
Northvolt has not confirmed the information, but writes in a statement to CBC that the strategic review currently being conducted may lead to changes in the timeline.
