Crisis-stricken Northvolt is reported for unauthorized building, reports P4 Västerbotten. According to the report to the municipality, it concerns approximately 700 modules lacking building permits.
Some of the buildings have been used as offices and staff rooms but may now be closed down by the municipality.
Northvolt is facing a liquidity crisis and is also negotiating with lenders and major shareholders about financing. The group and its subsidiaries have large debts to both the Enforcement Authority and the Tax Agency, which must be handled by Monday at the latest to avoid bankruptcy or reconstruction.
