Norwegian handball star Nora Mørk is expecting her first child, with an estimated birth in May next year. The 33-year-old Mørk will therefore miss the rest of the season.
"I'm thrilled to become a mom and look forward to a whole new and exciting life", says Mørk to her Danish club Esbjerg's website.
Mørk has been trained there since this season by Tomas Axnér, who is also the Swedish national team coach. This autumn, the Norwegian has taken a break from both national team and club, citing that Mørk played the Olympic Games with injuries. Now she expects to be back in play in time for next season's start.
Nora Mørk is in a relationship with Jerry Tollbring, a pro in Füchse Berlin and former left-back in the Swedish men's national team.
