It will be Italian Cogne and not Ulricehamn that will take over the vacant World Championship weekend in cross-country skiing on January 31-February 2, 2025.
After the Czech Nove Mesto dropped out as the organizer, Ulricehamn raised its hand to replace, but after a vote at the International Ski Federation's (Fis) meeting on Friday, the task was given to Cogne, reports NTB.
It is the first time since 2019 that the location, which is located in northwestern Italy, will host a World Championship competition in cross-country skiing.
The decision is to be formally approved later on Friday.
