Nina Stemme plays the title role in Richard Wagner's opera "Tristan and Isolde" in two concert performances at Berwaldhallen, alongside principal singer Daniel Johansson.

Radiokören is led by chief conductor Daniel Harding. And Nina Stemme – who is a well-known interpreter of Wagner – is looking forward to collaborating with them again.

"Together they have a way of bringing to life and revitalizing this fantastic score. It will feel like singing Isolde for the first time", says Stemme in a press release.

The opera tells the medieval, Celtic love story between Tristan and Isolde. The performances will be held on February 21 and 23 next year, and other roles will be played by, among others, Christian Gerhaher, Irene Roberts, and Christof Fischesser.
