South Korea reports that North Korea has again sent so-called trash balloons towards South Korean territory. Suspected trash balloons, often filled with fabric scraps, cigarette butts, fertilizer, and other trash, have been discovered north of the capital Seoul.
The city administration in Seoul is urging residents to stay indoors and be aware of falling objects.
North Korea has sent thousands of balloons towards South Korea in recent weeks in a long-intense psychological warfare against its neighboring people. Activists in South Korea have simultaneously sent flyers with propaganda critical of the regime in Pyongyang.
