Sweden is to support Ukraine's civil defense with approximately 40,000 protective masks, two environmental protection vessels, 24 passenger cars, a van, and a heavy truck. The government is expected to make a decision on the support package shortly.
The Minister for Civil Defense Carl-Oskar Bohlin presented the contents of the package during a trip to Ukraine, where Sweden and Ukraine also signed a letter of intent on closer cooperation in civil defense and national resilience.
The protective masks will be procured by the Swedish Agency for Civil Contingencies (MSB), while the remaining equipment is being donated by the Coast Guard. The value of the donation amounts to approximately 100 million kronor.
