Andrew Tate has previously been charged with, among other things, rape and organizing a criminal group for the sexual exploitation of women.

The police say in a statement that the raid, which took place at Tate's home near Bucharest, is part of the investigation into multiple crimes, including sex with a minor, a new accusation in this context.

A spokesperson for Tate states that the search warrant concerns suspicions of, among other things, human trafficking and money laundering, but does not comment on the accusation of a crime against a minor.

In connection with being taken away from his home on Wednesday, Tate told the media that he believes the legal process against him is moving too slowly.

Tate and his brother Tristan were arrested in Romania in December 2022 and were placed under house arrest. After an appeal in August 2023, he has been able to move freely within the country's borders.
