A new exhibition with Ernst Billgren will be one of the National Museum's major ventures next year. The artist has created new paintings that evoke landscapes and still-life paintings from the Baroque period to the exhibition.
Billgren has also, in some of the works, based himself on artworks in the National Museum's collections and created entirely new compositions. The artist has, among other things, used Gustaf Cederström's famous painting "Karl XII's funeral procession" to create a new work.
The exhibition with Ernst Billgren takes place between April 10 and September 28, 2025.
