At the same time, the streaming giant and representatives for the artist's estate report that a new documentary is being made, writes Deadline. It will be made with "exclusive content from Prince's archive".
Netflix's documentary by director Ezra Edelman has been stuck in a legal limbo, after the five years it took to make it. Prince's estate got to see the finished version to fact-check, and then blocked the documentary.

Prince passed away in 2016.
