Entertainment is guaranteed when Tesla CEO Elon Musk interviews the US's former President Donald Trump on X. At least, that's what Musk himself claims ahead of the highly anticipated conversation between them during the night towards Tuesday Swedish time.
The interview is expected to be broadcast via X's audio chat function Spaces, but details about the format have not been made public.
The interview can help Trump reach a different audience than the Republicans who usually attend his election rallies or watch the conservative news channel Fox News.
After Musk bought Twitter (later renamed to X) in 2022, Donald Trump's account was reactivated after the former President was banned following the storming of the US Congress in January 2021.
In 2020, Elon Musk gave his support to President Joe Biden, but he has since moved towards the political right. In July this year, he instead backed Donald Trump.
Just hours before the conversation, EU's Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton turned to X owner Elon Musk and reminded him of his legal obligation to prevent the spread of "harmful content" on X.
"With great audience comes even greater responsibility", Breton wrote in a post on X and attached a document clarifying Musk's obligation to stop illegal content and disinformation in accordance with EU legislation.
