A former employee of Malmö City is convicted of bribery after being treated to a London trip and four restaurant visits.

The sentence is a fine, reports SVT News Skåne.

Previously, another former municipal official in Malmö was sentenced to a fine for accepting the same benefits from the security company Securitas in connection with a procurement. The latter admitted to the crime and thus avoided a trial.

The same applies to a salesperson at Securitas, who has also received a fine.

The trip and dinners were exposed by SVT's Mission: Investigation in 2022.
