Five Palestinians have been killed in an Israeli drone attack on the occupied West Bank. The attack took place early in the morning, near a mosque in the city of Tubas, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.
Israeli forces state in a statement that they "eliminated" a terrorist group with five terrorists, arrested several other suspects and disarmed a vehicle rigged with explosives.
Later on Wednesday, an Israeli soldier was killed when what is described as "a Palestinian truck" drove into forces on the West Bank. The driver was killed in turn by Israeli forces. Also, a "civilian armed" who was present at the scene was killed, according to Israel's military.
Violence on the West Bank has increased since the Gaza War began on October 7 last year.
