More witnesses will be heard following the police report against the Dutch artist Joost Klein.
Today, I have sent a European investigation order to the Netherlands, requesting that they conduct a number of interviews on site in the Netherlands, says prosecutor Fredrik Jönsson.
The request comes after Joost Klein's lawyer applied for more interviews to be held.
This concerns several individuals. I cannot say exactly how many, only that it concerns more than one person. Some of these individuals were present when the incident occurred, says Fredrik Jönsson.
The case was initially handled within the framework of rapid prosecution. This was because the police assessed the evidence as strong.
It is no longer being handled that way. If I bring charges, it will be handled like any other case, says Fredrik Jönsson.
Joost Klein was disqualified from the European Championship in Malmö, just hours before the grand final. The artist, who was one of the favourites to win, was reported to the police for unlawful threats against a photographer.
