The coach of Allsvenskan Mjällby, Anders Torstensson, has been diagnosed with a form of blood cancer, chronic lymphatic leukemia, he writes on his Facebook page.
"Despite three very nasty words in the diagnosis, I have already come to realize that there are worse forms of cancer. I'm doing (actually) well under the circumstances, even though there have been a number of tears", writes Torstensson.
He writes that he will undergo further examination and testing.
"There, I will hopefully get more answers. I don't know much more now".
On Saturday, the club announced that Anders Torstensson is on sick leave. On Sunday, Mjällby played 1-1 at home against Elfsborg.
