Bio-active Michael Keaton has, after nearly five decades in the entertainment industry, decided to drop his stage name and take back his real name – Michael Douglas.
It was the American actors' union Screen Actors Guild's rules that two members cannot have the same name, which forced Keaton to come up with a solution since his name was "taken" by Wall Street actor Michael Douglas and talk show host Mike Douglas.
In an interview with the magazine People, the "Beetlejuice 2" star tells that he flipped through a phone book and found a name that he thought sounded reasonable.
In the future, the 72-year-old wants to be referred to as Michael Keaton Douglas in professional contexts, a combination of his stage name and his real name.
