The football goalkeeper Johan Dahlin has been afflicted with a cruciate ligament injury. This is confirmed by Malmö FF on the club's website.
"On Friday, an operation was performed, by our doctor Per Herbertsson, with a successful result. Now a longer period of rehabilitation awaits" writes the club.
Dahlin missed the last two matches in Allsvenskan.
Malmö has Europa League matches against Hungarian Ferencváros next Thursday and Galatasaray in December ahead of them.
Then the club will also have to manage without centre-back Pontus Jansson.
"Pontus will be relieved from training and matches in the coming weeks due to overload problems in a knee," writes MFF.
