Terror-listed Hamas is said to have had an underground weapons depot near Nyborg in Denmark. The information comes from the German Federal Prosecutor's Office press service, according to Danish TV2 Fyn.
We cannot reveal where (the weapons depot) was located, but we know that there were at least handguns in the depot, says press spokesperson Ines Peterson to TV2.
According to Peterson, the weapons depot on the island of Fyn ceased to exist two years ago and any weapons have likely been hidden in a new location.
Reports that the Islamist militant Hamas movement had weapons depots in Denmark have previously emerged within the German judiciary.
