It's about 21 Thai massage parlors that have been involved in criminal investigations and verdicts over the past two years. The parlors are located in Gothenburg, Örebro, Helsingborg, Kumla, and Karlskoga.
Epassi is used by at least 100 municipalities to manage employees' health promotion benefits. Previously, P4 has revealed that half of 100 contacted salons in 30 municipalities were willing to perform beauty treatments and register them as health promotion, which is not permitted.
Epassi's CEO Åsa Severgårdh writes in an email to P4 that "prostitution within the massage industry is a serious social problem that requires efforts on multiple levels and from multiple actors". She continues that they should strengthen their controls.
