Marty Callner, Iconic Music Video Director, Dies at 78

He created classic music videos like Cher's "If I could turn back time". The American director Marty Callner is dead, writes Billboard.

Callner was behind a range of classic music videos from MTV's heyday in the 80s and 90s, such as Cher's famous video for "If I could turn back time" where she dances on a warship with hundreds of sailors.

He also directed Twisted Sister's "We're not gonna take it" and "I wanna rock", Whitesnake's "Here I go again", Poison's "Every rose has its thorn" and a range of Aerosmith videos. He also made videos for artists like Stevie Nicks and The Bangles.

Callner also made a range of concert films with stars like Madonna, Britney Spears and N'Sync.

Marty Callner was 78 years old.
