A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of an outdoor rape in central Vänersborg. The police were alerted at around 3 pm on Monday and were quickly on the scene.
It was passers-by who called and reported seeing a suspected ongoing rape, says Annika Laag, the police's press spokesperson in Region West.
The victim is a woman in her 40s who is to be questioned. The man and woman are said to have been acquaintances previously.
