A man in his 30s was arrested on Tuesday, suspected of the explosion on Nordhemsgatan in Linnéstaden last week, reports P4 Göteborg.
The man was detained over the weekend and the police suspect that he acted on behalf of someone else. According to Göteborgs-Posten, the man is from Göteborg and has previously been convicted of, among other things, drug-related crimes.
However, he is not believed to have any connection to a criminal network or to anyone at the address where the explosion occurred.
The residential building suffered significant damage in connection with the powerful explosion, which occurred on Friday night. No one was physically injured.
