A man in his 50s was seriously injured when he was hit by a driver in Malmö on Wednesday evening, according to Sydsvenskan.
The man died as a result of his injuries, says police spokesperson Nils Norling to the newspaper.
The driver, a man in his 80s, left the scene immediately after the collision, but returned later and turned himself in.
He is suspected of causing another person's death and fleeing the scene of a traffic accident.
