A man in his 80s has died after a villa fire, north of Allsta in Sundsvall municipality, the police write on their website.
The alarm to SOS came in at 00.40 on Sunday night. The rescue service was called to the scene and a total of nine units were on site, according to Sundsvall's newspaper.
Smoke divers entered the house and the fire was limited to the basement.
A man, who is in his 80s, was taken to hospital by ambulance. On Sunday morning, the police announced that he had passed away.
The incident is being investigated as arson, but there is currently no suspected perpetrator.
