The social secretary had been threatened with murder by the man and was afraid to meet him. Despite this, she was forced to meet him alone – and was subjected to a murder attempt at the social services office in Mellerud at the end of October.
The man attacked, among other things, with a knife, but the woman managed to escape with minor injuries.
The suspect is now being prosecuted, local media reports.
The man, who is in his 60s, is suspected not only of the murder attempt and the threat against the social secretary, but also of threatening two other municipal employees.
