The man was arrested on Monday afternoon and is also charged with around 20 other threats, says prosecutor Andrea Finckenhagen to Norwegian TV 2.

It was a completely calm arrest without drama. The police are well acquainted with this person from before, even though he has not been convicted, she says to the channel.

The scandal surrounding Borg Høiby, who is the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit, has grown significantly during the autumn. He was arrested in August for assaulting his girlfriend, a crime he has confessed to. Over the weekend, he was arrested again, suspected of having violated the restraining order against the woman, a crime he denies. He was released again on Saturday.

He is also being investigated for a number of other crimes, including threats, vandalism, and assault of two previous girlfriends.

In total, it is four women who, according to the allegations, have been victims of crimes committed by Borg Høiby. One of them is the woman who received threats from the now-arrested 20-year-old.

Marius Borg Høiby has no royal title and has chosen to live his life outside the spotlight.
