A Ukrainian-Russian man was arrested on Wednesday near Paris after an explosion in his hotel room, according to French media citing the anti-terrorism department of the prosecutor's office.
Explosive materials were found in the hotel room, including one that caused the explosion, which were used to manufacture explosives. The suspect was born in the Donbass region, which is currently occupied by Russia, and according to reports in Le Monde, he fought on the side of the Russian army.
It is currently unclear whether the man, who recently arrived in France, is suspected of acting alone or with some form of group.
